Implant network sends signals through body tissue in animal tests

Researchers tested a small implant network that uses electrical signals conducted through body tissue, rather than radio, to coordinate sensors and nerve stimulation, Ars Technica reports. Experiments included living rats and animal tissue. The system passes limited amounts of data and has not yet been tested in humans; medical applications remain experimental.
