A Rare Sea Turtle Gets a 5,000-Mile Lift From a UK Beach Back to the Gulf

A critically endangered Kemp's ridley sea turtle found near death on a Welsh beach was flown to Texas for rehabilitation before being returned to its Gulf home. The journey included a helicopter ride to London and a transatlantic flight to Houston. The effort took two years from rescue to release.
