A Mars Rover Finds a Mysterious Field of Honeycomb Textures

A NASA rover has photographed an unexpected field of honeycomb-patterned rock on the Martian surface, a formation scientists said took their breath away. Similar textures on Earth typically form through mineral deposition and evaporation cycles. The team plans closer analysis to determine whether water shaped the site.
