Uppsala University reports through Phys.org that some neural stem cells survived unexpectedly long handling after an ISS experiment and later developed into neurons and glial cells in laboratory tests. Cells in 3D-printed supports fared particularly well. The new account describes research from a 2024 flight and possible future space-medicine uses, not a demonstrated treatment.
