The Plaskett Fire Doubles Overnight in California's Big Sur Region

The Plaskett fire in Monterey County doubled in size overnight, burning more than 5,900 acres and forcing evacuations, Cal Fire said. The blaze remains uncontained in a coastal region where crews have already fought another fire for weeks. Officials have not reported injuries.
