NASA's Roman Space Telescope Launches on a Falcon Heavy

The $4.3 billion Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope lifted off Sunday from Kennedy Space Center aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket. The observatory is headed for a point roughly a million miles from Earth, where it will hunt for planets around other stars and survey the sky far more widely than Hubble. Scientists hope its wide-field survey will sharpen understanding of dark matter and dark energy.
