Rushing to Grab a Six-Digit Login Code Could Soon Be History

A new authentication method rolling out across the three biggest U.S. wireless carriers could let banks verify customers without sending a text message code. Glide.id launched a public beta of a service called MagicalAuth on AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon. Backers say it would cut both friction and SMS interception fraud.
