Skull fractures support renewed inquiry into ancient Egyptian sacrifice

A forensic reassessment identified potentially lethal trauma in 18 of 46 skulls from burials beside early Egyptian rulers at Abydos, Ars Technica reports. The study interprets the pattern as evidence consistent with some retainer sacrifice. Incomplete remains cannot establish how every person died or a single killing method.
