Spanish museum builds Cray-1 replica from old Mac Minis

Visitors can watch distributed matrix calculations to compare modern clustered processors with the original vector machine. The museum’s performance figures come from its own benchmark, and the exhibit reproduces the Cray-1’s appearance rather than its architecture.
