A Man Is Charged With Arson in the Largest of the Spokane Wildfires

Authorities in Washington state have charged Aaron Farinacci with starting the largest of the wildfires burning around Spokane, a blaze that has consumed close to 4,000 acres and pushed tens of thousands of people out of their homes. Investigators say the suspect, who has a prior conviction for shooting his father in Arizona, had also been questioned about two other fires last year. The arrest lands as dozens of fires burn across the West and as the Spokane blazes push into subdivisions that were never thought of as fire country.
