Study finds uneven research attention to climate tipping points

A review of 20,736 papers found wide differences in research attention across 14 climate tipping elements, Phys.org reports. Greenland attracted about one-fifth of the papers, while permafrost drew less than 1 percent. Publication counts describe research priorities; they do not establish the probability or timing of a tipping event.
