Rescuers recovered two bodies after Sunday’s avalanche near Himlung Himal, The Kathmandu Post reports, citing Nepal’s mountain guides association. In a later account, Himal Press quoted the Armed Police Force as saying 12 people had made contact and eight remained missing. Earlier missing-person counts differed as teams worked to establish who was safe.
