The World's Oldest Person Turns 117 and Credits a Nonconfrontational Life

Ethel Caterham, recognized by Guinness World Records as the world's oldest living person, turned 117 last week. Born in the United Kingdom in August 1909, she was the seventh of eight children. Asked for her secret, she pointed to a lifelong habit of avoiding confrontation.
