Anne Carson wins Nobel Prize in literature

The Swedish Academy awarded the literature Nobel to Canadian poet, essayist and translator Anne Carson, DW reports. The academy recognized her inventive work linking classical traditions with contemporary literature. Her books include Eros the Bittersweet and The Beauty of the Husband. The prize recognizes her body of work; the award ceremony is scheduled for December.
