English Heritage releases restored 1966 Hastings reenactment film

English Heritage released a restored 12-minute film of the first regular Battle of Hastings reenactment ahead of this weekend’s event, Smithsonian reports. The footage shows university students in the 1966 performance and was recovered with help from the filmmaker’s son. The charity is seeking participants who could identify themselves in the film.
