Four states sue TP-Link over router security and China disclosures

Florida, Iowa, Montana and Nebraska sued TP-Link, alleging the router maker misled consumers about its China ties and cybersecurity risks, Ars Technica reports. TP-Link rejects the allegations and says it is an independent US company with devices made in Vietnam. The cases remain unresolved; the company also lacks an FCC exemption needed to sell its latest router models.
