Margaret Hamilton, Apollo software leader, dies at 90

Margaret Hamilton died September 30 at 90, MIT News reports in a new obituary. She led Apollo flight-software teams at MIT and helped establish software engineering as a discipline. The priority-driven software her team built allowed Apollo 11 to continue landing after a computer overload alarm. MIT does not state a cause of death.
