Kashmiri filmmaker detained by ICE as relatives dispute immigration status

DW, citing Reuters, reports that ICE detained filmmaker Arfat Sheikh at Dulles on September 24. DHS says he overstayed temporary admission; relatives say his asylum application was pending and he had work authorization. DHS says an application does not itself confer legal residency and promises due process. His case remains unresolved.
