Dog study links DNA-regulation changes with faster aging in large breeds

via Phys.org·11h ago

Arizona State University researchers found age-related loss of DNA methylation at regulatory regions in data from 864 dogs, Phys.org reports on a Science study. Larger breeds showed faster changes around LINE1 elements. The association offers a possible mechanism for size-related aging; it does not prove a single cause or establish a treatment.
