Wireless power link operates stretchable pacemaker in pig tests

South Korean researchers built an adaptive wireless power link that kept a stretchable pacemaker operating through movement and misalignment in pig tests, Tech Xplore reports. The prototype paced hearts and terminated rapid abnormal rhythms in animals. Human trials and further safety testing are needed before clinical use.
